Marketing services

We use marketing services to show you attractive offers and third-party offers. This will involve us showing adverts via advertising partners or advertising networks that use third-party cookies. These are activated when you visit our website and are only read by the relevant advertising partner. We also only want to show you adverts that you would really find appealing. For this purpose, we use retargeting on our website to ensure the adverts match your interests. The cookies stored temporarily for this allow our retargeting partners to recognise visitors to our website under a pseudonym and only show products that would interest our visitors.

No personal or sensitive data is stored in our retargeting partner’s cookies. And the data collected will not be merged with data that allows our visitors to be identified.

The services enable us, for example:

  • to measure success and charge for the advertising between advertising partners and ourselves,
  • to track which adverts you have already seen to avoid the same ones being shown again,
  • to see the number of times our website is viewed,
  • to track internal search requests
  • to see which product sites are called up or to recognise your login status.

We would nevertheless like to inform you that, even if you deactivate these services for marketing purposes, you will still be shown adverts. These adverts could, for example, be adapted to suit the content of the website. You could compare this type of content – dependant internet advertising with TV advertising – if you watch a TV programme about cooking, you will often see an advert about cooking products during the advert breaks.

We use the following services for marketing purposes; you can deactivate these by installing an opt-out cookie or following a link:

Facebook “visitor action pixel”The “visitor action pixel” is a tool of Facebook Inc., 1601 Willow Road, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA. Based on website visits and the surfing behavior, this tool allows us to determine target groups for advertising on Facebook, so-called “Facebook-Ads”. Also we use this tool to measure the effectiveness of online marketing activities. So we can follow the actions of users after they have viewed and/or clicked a Facebook advertisement and then placed an order. Once you reach the website, the pixel is integrated directly by Facebook and can store a cookie on your device. If you subsequently log in to Facebook or you are already logged in to Facebook, your website visit will be noted in your profile. The collected data remain anonymous, which means that we can neither see personal data of individual users, nor associate them with other information about a user. However, this data is stored and processed by Facebook, so that a conclusion on the respective user profile is possible. The data processing by Facebook takes place in accordance with Data Use Policy of Facebook. If you are not a member of Facebook, you are not affected by this data processing.
