After more than 10 years running ski racing camps, in the Summer of 2019 we decided to start a new ski camp in Chile to give an added dimension to our already comprehensive training programme.

Chile has some of the best ski training conditions in South America and is a very friendly and welcoming country. Athletes will be able to ski in some of the biggest and most remote mountains in the world, enjoying real winter skiing conditions that will ensure they boost their performance in the best Race ski camp in South America. The town where athletes will be staying, offers a great balance of nature with modern, comfortable hotels.

This camp is recommended for competitive racers who previously attended one or two weeks of technical and physical base work in Saas-Fee, although this is not mandatory. Travel arrangements to and from Santiago are not included, but we can help you organise your flight. Parents or other companions are welcome to join the trip for the experience of a lifetime.

We fly into Santiago de Chile.

Ski Zenit’s ski racing camp in Chile is designed for U16 and FIS racers that want to get the most out of their racing. Prior to this camp, athletes are strongly encouraged to have spent several weeks on the snow to work on their base technique. Prior training before arriving in Chile allows athletes to focus fully on technical, tactical and psychological improvement, whilst training in proper Winter race conditions.

In our ski camp in Chile, racers will do recovery and stretching sessions every day and light condition training sessions some evenings each week.

A proper ski tuning workshop will be available for all athletes so they can tune their skis daily, with trainers assistance.

Video analysis is a very valuable tool for our coaches to help racers understand and improve their performance whilst ski training. Technical and tactical concepts that are important to performance will be explained in detail during these sessions so that they are clear for the next training day. One video analysis session will be done after every 2 or 3 days of training.

The Ski Zenit coaches will be in the same hotel as the athletes and will therefore be able to chaperone the group. Every racer under 18 attending the ski camp in Chile is expected to be mature and responsible enough to follow the camp rules with a high degree of autonomy.

“I chose Zenit because of their approach and program. All the other schools I contacted didn’t seem to offer what I needed. Dedicated 1/2 day lesson 1 to 1 reaching.Alex was my teacher, and I felt…”

“My son had an awesome experience. The coaches are all extremely professional, kind, caring, and knowledgeable. Our son got excellent feedback on his skiing and how to improve and he grew hugely in confidence both on and off the piste. We were very impressed by the coaches and by the whole setup. He’s looking forward to training with them again soon. Thank you!”
