“My son had an awesome experience. The coaches are all extremely professional, kind, caring, and knowledgeable. Our son got excellent feedback on his skiing and how to improve and he grew hugely in confidence both on and off the piste. We were very impressed by the coaches and by the whole setup. He’s looking forward to training with them again soon. Thank you!”

THE TOWN: Zermatt, nestled at the base of the majestic Matterhorn, offers a picturesque setting for ski enthusiasts from all walks of life. This car-free village ensures a tranquil, pristine environment, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the natural beauty and fresh Alpine air. The streets of Zermatt are lined with boutique shops, gourmet restaurants, and cozy cafes, providing an idyllic setting to unwind after a day on the slopes. With stunning vistas of surrounding peaks, which tower over 4,000 meters, Zermatt offers a beautiful blend of traditional Swiss charm and modern amenities, making it a haven for tourists seeking both adventure and relaxation.

THE SLOPES: Zermatt's ski area, renowned as one of the best in the world, sprawls across elevations ranging from 1,620 to 3,883 meters. The region is served by an extensive network of lifts, including cable cars and cogwheel trains, facilitating access to a diverse range of slopes that cater to skiers of all skill levels. Whether you are carving down wide-open runs, navigating through tree-lined trails, or enjoying the well-groomed pistes, Zermatt offers a skiing experience that is both exhilarating and serene.

During the pre-winter season, the snow-covered slopes stretch further, offering an expansive skiable terrain that attracts enthusiasts looking to experience the first tracks of the season. The Gornergrat Bahn, a cogwheel train, offers a scenic route to the slopes, taking around 30 minutes, and providing breathtaking panoramic views along the way.

Given the variable weather conditions that can be experienced in the mountains, it is advisable to come prepared for both mild and chilly weather, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable skiing experience in Zermatt.

All participants must have current ski accident insurance valid in Switzerland covering at least civil liability, rescue on the slopes (including helicopter), medical treatment and repatriation. We highly recommend insurance which also reimburses you for services unused due to injury (ski pass, training, lodging, etc.).

Switzerland has agreements with EU Member States for medical assistance at public hospitals. In order to take advantage of such agreements, you must have the European Health Insurance Card (EHIC). You need to apply for this card well in advance at your local medical centre in the EU.

Switzerland is a member of the Schengen Area meaning that travellers from EU countries which are party to that treaty may enter the country with their identity card. Travellers from other countries must check the conditions for entry into Switzerland before embarking on their trip.

Ski Zenit offers its athletes and their chaperones a transfer service in comfortable mini-buses from/to the Geneva, Zürich, Basel or Milan airports. Transfer by motorway takes about three hours. These transfers are organised through a local company with professional drivers.
